I look forward to Dave Asprey’s Beyond Conference the way I looked forward to Christmas morning as a kid. No exaggeration. This year brought the most advanced biohacking tools for home healing I’ve seen yet. I come back from this event a little different every time. More fired up, more equipped, and honestly? More hopeful. This year more than any other. And I’ll get to why in a minute.
For now, let me take you inside the experience: the partners I checked in with, the new finds that blew my mind, the speakers who left me with pages of notes, and a personal announcement I’m sharing here for the first time.
Before I get into the new discoveries, I want to talk about the brands I’ve been using for years. Because one of the things I love most about this event is that it’s not just a shopping experience. These are relationships. These are people I’ve built real trust with, and when I see them at this conference, I’m hugging them, saying thank you, asking about their families.
So here’s what I stocked up on and reconnected with this year.
Catharine Arnston of Energy Bits is one of my favorite people in this entire space. She’s in her 70s, has more energy than most people half her age, and gives the best hugs. She was on the show in episode 65 and she’ll be back this fall to talk about her new book, Love Your Health to Bits with Algae. Obviously I stocked up while I was there—spirulina and chlorella are non-negotiables in my daily routine and have been for years.
Pulse PEMF is one of my top five essential home wellness tools, full stop. Joe Lahotay has been on the show and I’ve talked about PEMF therapy more times than I can count. The short version: it’s earth energy—the natural electromagnetic frequency of the earth—pulsing directly into your body. I have a PEMF chair just outside my office. It has been instrumental in my healing and recovery after the stroke, and I think of it as plugging my body batteries back in.
Power Plate is another one I’ve had at home forever. Nine minutes on the plate and you’re drenched in sweat. But beyond the workout piece, vibration therapy has been really valuable for circulation and nerve stimulation on my left side after years of paralysis. This is not a cheap agitation plate from Amazon—it’s a medical-grade device with decades of research behind it.
Flowpresso—one of my favorite experiences at the whole event, every single year. Freddie Kimmel, who was on the show in episode 96, is part of their team and you’ll always find him there. It’s a therapeutic lymphatic compression suit. You slip in, they put a headset on you, and for about 10 to 12 minutes you get this warm, rhythmic, full-body compression that moves lymph and supports detoxification. It feels like the most incredible massage. I’m probably getting one for my home.
Intelligent Threads is my longtime friend Brian Burzynski’s brand, and I have a serious collection at this point. I fully understand that “frequency clothing” raises eyebrows, so if you’re not familiar, I’m going to ask you to hold off on that reaction until Brian comes on the show, which is happening in July. He’ll explain the material, the research behind it, and exactly why it works with the body the way it does. What I can tell you from personal experience: you feel different wearing it. There’s an alignment that happens when you have it on that I can’t fully put into words.
BrainTap is always at the top of my list. Dr. Patrick Porter is going to be on the show later this year and we’ll go deep on this, but the short version: the BrainTap headset uses light, sound, and guided programs to help the brain retrain itself. Sleep, stress, anxiety, PTSD, hormone balance, focus, stem cell activation—there is a session for almost everything. I use the 14-minute stem cell activation meditation regularly, especially when I go into my hyperbaric chamber. The app alone is worth downloading.
Essentia Bed gets mentioned here every chance I get, and I’m not stopping. Your sleep surface matters enormously. Most organic mattresses are either safe-but-uncomfortable or comfortable-but-compromised. Essentia does neither—it’s organic, no off-gassing, and the most comfortable organic mattress I’ve ever slept on. They’ve also engineered their beds specifically for REM sleep optimization. If you track your sleep, switch to an Essentia and watch your numbers change. Listen to my chat with Jack Dell’Accio in episode 84 for our deep dive into Essentia.
InBody rounds out this section. I don’t wear fitness trackers or Bluetooth devices on my body—that’s a personal choice that ties directly to everything I talk about with EMF. InBody gives me a full body composition scan in 30 seconds: body fat percentage, muscle mass, water distribution. I’m not chasing a scale number. I’m watching my body fat and lean mass over time, and InBody makes that easy.
StemRegen—Christian Drapeau and his team are always at this event and I am always grateful. I’ve been taking their stem cells support for years. In my opinion, it’s one of the most affordable ways to incorporate stem cell support into your routine. And when you stack it with PEMF, BrainTap, and infrared, the combination is something else entirely. Christian was on the main stage this year, as always. He has this gift for taking very complex stem cell research and delivering it in a way that just clicks—no intimidation, no jargon for the sake of it. Just clear information from someone who has been in this work for decades.
Zero Gravity has been on my radar for a couple of years. Their Genesis Z device uses specific light energy frequencies for skin health and cellular regeneration. Alon did a demo on one side of my face and then held up a mirror. The results were undeniable. I went all in—the Genesis Z, Aecor Neck, and Aecor Eye by Earth. I’ve been using them a few days a week since I got home and I really like it. Light energy for the skin, done right, is very noticeable.
TrueDark glasses—Dave introduced custom titanium frames this year, very cool for the men in the room, but not quite my look. But True Dark’s full line of blue light blocking glasses is excellent. Very specific about which wavelengths they filter and why, thoughtfully designed, and most of them are actually pretty stylish. For anyone spending significant time under artificial light or in front of screens—which is most of us—this is worth looking into.
Tennant Health—Dr. Tennant is someone I deeply respect every time I see him at this event. His work on bioelectric medicine and his laser therapy devices are profound. Always grateful when I get to see him.
And last, but certainly not least, in this section—Danger Coffee. I have to mention it because all-you-can-drink Danger Coffee is one of the best parts of the entire conference experience. I hand my thermos to the lady at the counter and she winks and fills it up. Small joys. Dave’s coffee is specifically formulated to replenish minerals while you drink it, made bulletproof-style with MCT oil and healthy fats. He also introduced creatine this year, which is exciting. He also announced an instant version—for those of us who travel constantly, clean coffee in a packet is a revelation.
This is the part I look forward to most every year. The discoveries. And this year delivered in a big way.
CryoBuilt caught me at exactly the right moment. I’ve been thinking about adding a true whole-body cryo chamber to the wellness space we’re building on our property—Heller Health Haven, we’re calling it—and then I walked right into their booth. CryoBuilt are walk-in cryo chambers, so no water, no submersion. Dry cold therapy is very precise and quicker than a cold plunge. I’m very excited about this one.
Roxiva is going to be on the show soon so I’ll save the deep conversation for that episode, but I have to tell you: I experienced their light frequency device right there on the vendor floor, surrounded by thousands of people and every kind of noise imaginable, and within minutes I dropped into a completely parasympathetic, meditative state. The noise fell away. Light energy communicating directly with the brain. It was stunning.
Cymatica was probably my single most memorable experience of the entire conference. If you saw pictures on my Instagram of me sitting inside what looks like an enormous crystal bowl—that’s them. Their singing bowls are so large you climb inside. The owner attuned the session to my specific situation with the stroke and left-side paralysis, and I felt weightless. Completely weightless. In the middle of thousands of people on a loud vendor floor, I felt like I was levitating. I’m still thinking about it.
ARRC LED—specifically their Elysium device—is an advanced full-body red light therapy system stacked with PEMF, scalar energy field, and integrated frequency generation. These machines are being used in Air Force research labs and at Walter Reed military medical facilities. In 15 minutes, I felt measurably more motor function in my left hand. I don’t say things like that lightly. I’ve been dealing with left-side paralysis for over a decade and I am very careful about what I attribute to specific experiences. This was real.
Neuronic is near-infrared light therapy in a wearable helmet, specifically in the 810 to 1070 nanometer range—the wavelength range shown to have some of the most benefit for brain tissue. I had a 30-minute conversation with Dr. Jeff Tarrant, the chief neuroscientist on Dave’s team, about what this could offer for my brain history specifically and for anyone dealing with traumatic brain injury or cognitive decline. I’m getting one. Decision made.
OxyHealth is one of the pioneers in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and while I have a different chamber brand at home, I had a really great conversation with their team at the event. Dr. Jason Sonners also did a fireside chat with Dave on the main stage and his information was excellent—clearing up myths, talking through who should use hyperbaric therapy, what to look for when you’re buying, what the safety considerations are. If hyperbaric therapy is on your radar, he is your resource. I’m hoping to have him on the show.
NeuFit and their Neubie stimulation device are something I’ve followed for a while, and getting to experience a full session at the event was really something. They spent about 15-20 minutes working on the left side of my body specifically, walking patterns, hand and finger stimulation. Nerve stimulation can sometimes be uncomfortable. This was activating without any pain. My body felt more alive afterward.
Viome + Evvy Viome digs deep into your body’s microbiome health, and they teamed up with Evvy to focus on women’s vaginal microbiome health—an area that is chronically undertested, undertreated, and undertalked about. Their CEOs spoke at a fireside chat and were enlightening. They offer specific at home testing that gives women real data about what’s happening in their bodies, followed by real answers. I’m doing the test and I’m having them on the show. Women need this conversation.
There were over 100 speakers across the main stage and breakout rooms, so I’m just going to give you the ones I can’t stop thinking about.
Jay was extraordinary in person in a way I didn’t fully expect, even after following him for years. He had the audience up and moving, creating experiences, fully present. His talk centered on consciousness, purpose, and the idea that countries should be measuring gross national happiness—belonging, meaning, knowing where home is—rather than just economic output. I took more notes on his session than almost anyone else.
Arthur Brooks, Ph.D. had two full pages of my notes. He talked about purpose, meaning, marriage, and how to architect a life that feels good from the inside out. He shared a story about one of his sons going through a really hard season, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. I wrote “request as podcast guest” right there in my notebook. Arthur, I’m serious—please come on the show.
Dr. Lyon was a powerhouse on that stage—there’s really no other word for it. She talked about protein, muscle mass, and women’s bone health, and made a compelling case for feeding your body like it actually deserves to be fed. She lit a fire under me about food in a way that stuck.
Ben was new to me at this event and now I’m recommending him to everyone. His book is called Metabolic Freedom and it’s all about fasting and reclaiming your metabolic health. I got my copy signed. He lost about 90 pounds years ago after being chronically unhealthy, and the way he shows up now—his energy, his appetite for life—is infectious. He’s on my list to bring on the show too.
Jim gave me language for something I’ve been doing instinctively for years. Morning is creation time: ideas, writing, generating. Afternoon is consuming: research, learning, conversations. Evening is clearing: writing down tomorrow’s list, emptying the mental hard drive. I already operate this way, but having it named and framed as the 3 C’s gave me a new appreciation for why it works.
I’ve followed her for close to a decade. Women’s health, hormones, detox, functional medicine. She was so vulnerable this year, sharing her own story about a period of weight gain, stress, inflammation, and a difficult relationship. She offered real solutions, not just theory. I always appreciate practitioners who are willing to be honest about their own experience. It makes everything land differently.
Rob Lawless was new to me this year and one of my favorite discoveries. His entire life purpose is making friends. He travels the world on purpose to meet people and form genuine connections. That’s it. That’s the mission. When you land on his social media you just get it immediately. He and I have already been messaging back and forth and he’s going to be on the show. If you don’t know Rob, go find him now.
The author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, was an absolute joy. Funny, warm, zero pretense. He talked about masculine and feminine energy, the divine union of partnership, and—very relevant for this show—the synergy of your shared home ecosystem and how your relationship health is inseparable from your physical health. He’s going on my guest list too.
She led a full hour of somatic breathwork that I signed up for as a separate experiential session. 120 people in the room, and I genuinely wasn’t sure how one person was going to hold that container. She did it within minutes. I was crying, I was dancing and moving my body, doing things I don’t usually let myself do in public. She cracked something open. Her energy is alive and electric in a way that’s rare. Find her at the Hive Chiropractic and Wellness.
I caught her during a lunch session on thyroid health and I’m really glad I did. She talked about the thyroid as the general manager of the body, the organ that oversees so many systems and gets suppressed rather than supported in conventional medicine far too often. I have personal history there—years ago doctors encouraged me to remove mine. Fortunately I declined and went a different path. Listening to her talk about how much is possible when you actually support this organ properly was validating in a way that’s hard to articulate.
This group left the entire room speechless. They brought four children on stage and demonstrated intuition work—a blindfolded girl drew the same giraffe a woman from the audience had just drawn. A second child wrote the serial number of a $100 bill she was handed while blindfolded. A 16-year-old completed a Rubik’s Cube in 1 minute and 37 seconds, eyes covered. The reminder underneath all of it: there is a higher frequency available to us. We have access to knowing our eyes can’t see.
And then Dave brought his 19-year-old daughter Anna on stage to meditate live, wearing a neurofeedback headset. On the monitor above the stage, we watched her energy field expand in real time as she dropped deeper. It kept getting brighter and brighter. You could feel it in the room. She has that skill at 19 and she’ll carry it for the rest of her life. I got to spend a few minutes with her at Dave’s house the following day. She’s divine and left quite an impression on me.
I want to close with something I haven’t shared publicly yet.
I signed up for Dave’s 40 Years of Zen program—an intensive neurofeedback and brain regeneration experience that takes place at his home and Upgraded Labs facility. I’m going back for five days this fall to do deep brain mapping and health regeneration protocols. All of it focused on my brain.
Here’s why this matters so much to me right now. My traumatic brain injury happened 30 years ago—June 26, 1996. I don’t talk about the explosion often. I talk about the stroke, the heavy metals, releasing 100+ pounds, the chronic illness layers. But in 1996, I was in a massive explosion. I was a teenager. My high school sweetheart, who was my first love, died that day. Others suffered severe physical injuries and the overall scene was horrific. I walked away with brain damage, hearing loss, and a trauma that took years to even begin to understand.
For a long time after that day, I questioned why I survived. That question stayed with me for decades. And over time, slowly and sometimes painfully, clarity came. A lot of that clarity is why this show exists.
Thirty years later, we’re going to use technology that didn’t exist in 1996 to look at what’s still there and how far we can take it. I looked Dave Asprey straight in the eye and asked him if he thought there was still hope for damage this old. He didn’t hesitate. He smiled and said, Jen, yes. We’ve got this. You’ve got this.
That’s the best investment I made at this entire event. Not a device, not a supplement. That conversation and that commitment.
And what I’m also excited about— maybe even more so—is that the data from my experience has the potential to help other people. People with traumatic brain injury, chronic neurological conditions, people who’ve been told the window has closed. I want to be part of proving that’s not always true.
The biohacking tools for home available right now are better than they have ever been. The work being done in this space is serious and it is giving people their lives back. And the thread that runs through all of it—through every speaker, every vendor, every conversation I had at this conference—is that your environment shapes you. Your home shapes you. Your nervous system, your relationships, the air you breathe, the bed you sleep on. It all matters.
You are not stuck. Healing is not linear and it doesn’t have an expiration date. Thirty years in, I’m still learning that.
