My mom often reminds me that I was jumping out of my crib before I could walk and climbing trees when I was three. I thrive on the excitement and thrill of taking risks and thoroughly enjoy blazing new trails. I gravitate towards high-vibe, positive energy and am barefoot as much as possible. I crave plugging into the earth and am deeply connected to Mother Nature. My soul needs peace, love and sunlight to thrive. And delicious, organic dark chocolate!

FOR AS FAR BACK AS I CAN REMEMBER, I’VE LIVED MY LIFE FEARLESSLY.

a litte bit about me

would you believe this was me 125 pounds ago...?

Hard to imagine, right?

To be honest, I hardly recognize the woman looking back at me in this picture. It feels more like a chapter in a book I read, not a life I lived. She was overweight, burnt out, and was not taking her health (or life!) seriously.

Overloaded with toxins and heavy metals, I set off on a mission to figure out why I was so tired, lethargic and honestly, unhappy. A journey that I’m grateful for and truly changed my life.

After the dust settled, we sold our house, packed up our cats, Janis & Jimi, and bought our dream home in a small town outside of the city. Heller Haven is a big, beautiful palace nestled in the woods. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature and loaded with our favorite wellness tools - our home is truly our sanctuary.

Living a Balanced, Abundant Life

Jenerate Wellness was mandated to close in the Spring of 2020 like millions of other businesses. Several months into the closure, no end in sight and hemorrhaging money, the writing was on the wall. I knew what I had to do…I had to let it go. I sold everything I could and closed the doors. I was broken and devastated.

Letting Go With Gratitude

The stars truly aligned when we met online. Mark and I eloped on the island of Exuma and said our vows barefoot on Emerald Beach. This is by far the happiest, most joyful day of my life. I thank God everyday He brought us together.

MARRIED MY BEST FRIEND & SOULMATE

When my dad passed in 2018, it had a deep effect on my life. It was like I was looking through a completely different lense. It strengthened my relationships, core values and reminded me just how fragile everyday is. Each year, I take my mom on trip so we can stay connected and grounded. Our trip to Lake Superior in the Fall of 2022 was one for the memory books.

learning to live life to it's fullest

2020-PRESENT

I spent a few years obsessed with educating myself about nutrition and detoxification. I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, completed their health coaching programs, bought a sauna, changed my food, moved my body daily, lost 125 pounds, quit my job at Coke and let go of relationships that were no longer positively serving me. Basically, I hit the “reset button”.

my purpose became my passion

I decided to follow my heart and chase a wild dream. I met the love of my life, left behind the comforts of my hometown and moved to Madison, WI to open Jenerate Wellness - a sauna studio and holistic wellness center focused on detoxifying and revitalizing your life. The doors opened in 2014 and quickly became a pillar in the community.

DIVINE TIMING

My 9-5 job felt mundane, I was significantly overweight and needed to figure out why I was so lethargic. Overall, my life was pretty toxic and not in a good place. I didn’t just need to make a change, I needed to totally pivot. I was at a friend’s house one night sharing my frustration and overall situation. She referred me to a local holistic practitioner who ultimately changed and saved my life. This sent me down a new path and I’ve never looked back.

2010-2020

COUNTRY LIVING

I rooted down, built a house in the country and got a couple labs, Hunter & Abby. You learn quickly what unconditional love is when you rescue and bring home animals - their love will fill a heart and home like no other. This home and space is where I learned the beauty of peace, nature and what it felt like to be truly grounded.

WORKING IN CORPORATE

Over the course of 14 years, I wore many hats in an Administrative/HR role. Fortunately, I didn’t have The Office experience that most do in corporate. I enjoyed and loved the people I worked with, we had a blast working together plus I learned a TON about human behavior and operating a business. But as the years went on, something was missing. I felt empty, a bit hollow and like I was on a hamster wheel.

2000-2010

I had a ton of friends and was usually the life of the party. I spent most of my senior year in study hall, shop classes and at Jody’s house watching 90210. I graduated early with honors, but had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I took a job as an Administrative Assistant at a nursing home. That career was short-lived and within a year, I found my footing in a position at Coca-Cola.

Graduation

From the moment I got my first drawing pad and colored pencil set, I’ve been creating. I won a lot of local art awards for random drawings and contests. I loved any class where I could create and transform: ceramics, painting, woods, photography, architectural design/drafting. I loved designing big, beautiful homes and imagined what it would feel like to live in one someday.

Creating Sets My Soul On Fire

An Entrepreneurial Mind

When I was 10, I started making my own jewelry. I had an idea to make 100 gemstone necklaces, include a note that said “believe” and send them to Oprah asking her to please share them with 3rd world orphanage girls. I didn’t send them, but I bet they would have been a hit.

1990 - 2000

I grew up in a small town in Northern Wisconsin and was blessed to live in a country neighborhood full of kids, a baseball field and a trail that led you to a local lake. We rode bikes, swam all day and played kick the can at night. My childhood was about as fun as they come and I feel very fortunate.

nature is my lifeforce

My motto - live life fearlessly and with intention. Whether it was climbing to the top of trees, racing my mini motorcycle through the woods at top speed or swimming across the lake on my own, I’ve always embraced life with a fearless mindset. My fascination with rocks/crystals started young and my soul connection with earth’s grounded energy runs deep.
