A hundred episodes in and I still get a little teary when I think about it. Not because of the number—but because of the people. The stories. The healing that happens when you decide your health is worth fighting for. That’s what my mission and this podcast are all about—helping you create a home that heals, one episode at a time.
Producing a weekly wellness podcast isn’t exactly a walk in the park. The stats are a little wild—only 10% of podcasters make it to one year, and just 5% make it to two. I hit record on episode one without a roadmap, a big team, or a guarantee that anyone would listen.
What I had was a why. And that why has never wavered.
Years before Homes That Heal existed, I was 100 pounds overweight, toxic with heavy metals, and running on fumes. Mercury and lead had crossed the blood-brain barrier and contributed to a stroke that left me temporarily paralyzed on my left side. My thyroid was struggling. My liver was overloaded. And the life I was living—the job, the marriage, the environment—wasn’t the life my soul came here to live.
So I left. All of it.
I hit the reset button and spent the next several years rebuilding—my food, my relationships, my home, my health. Infrared sauna therapy was one of the tools that helped me detox and recover. Clean water mattered. My environment mattered. Every single choice I made about my home and my daily habits became part of my healing.
That’s not just a backstory. That’s the entire reason this podcast exists.
I’ve said it a hundred times—literally—and I mean it every single time. The core mission of this show has always been to help you align your health with your home and your passions with your purpose. To create a home that heals isn’t just about non-toxic products or infrared saunas or clean water, although all of that matters deeply. It’s about creating an environment that actively supports your wellbeing every single day.
That mission got tested in a very real way during Season 2.
I don’t often pull back the curtain on the hard stuff. But episode 100 feels like the right moment. There were stretches last year when I genuinely questioned whether I could keep going. My niece Morgan—who had been struggling with prescription drug overload and her mental health—came to live with Mark and me, and quickly became my front-burner priority.
I made the choice every person with a healing home should be able to make: I chose people over productivity. I used every tool at my disposal—my infrared sauna, my non-toxic environment, my knowledge, my network—to help Morgan heal.
And she did. A complete transformation in less than a year. A thriving 19-year-old with big dreams now. That’s what a healing home can do.
If you want the full story, episodes 75 and 93 go deep on Morgan’s journey and what it looked like in real time.
If I’m being honest, every single episode has a special place for me. But if I had to pick just a few to point you to, these would be it.
Brian Harris, co-founder of MedRhythms, talked about a device that clips to your shoe and uses real science to help people with stroke, neurological conditions, and Parkinson’s walk again. This one hit home personally and is an inspiring listen for anyone touched by neurological challenges.
My conversation with Suzanna Hake is one that still generates listener feedback to this day. Suzanna shares her personal cancer journey, why she chose an alternative healing path, and why clean drinking water is foundational to optimal wellness. It’s a story about faith, family, and the freedom to choose how you heal.
Biological dentist Dr. Kelly Blodgett has been in the dental industry for over 30 years, and our conversation is genuinely eye-opening. Root canals linked to disease. The mouth-to-body connection and what’s really happening with patient-practitioner relationships. This one will change how you think about your dental health.
If you’re in the market for an infrared sauna—or just mildly curious—this is your episode. I break down what to look for, why the user experience matters, and the warranty fine print that most people completely overlook. Thousands of dollars are on the line. Read the fine print, friends.
Freddie Kimmel’s story of healing from mold, Lyme disease, and cancer is one of the most comprehensive wellness conversations I’ve had on this show. He’s walked the journey himself and built an entire program to help others do the same. Absolutely worth your time.
Here’s where things get exciting. I have a few big announcements for the road ahead—and this is very much a create a home that heals kind of season.
Years of questions. Years of conversations. All of my sauna wisdom—from choosing the right unit to electrical logistics, installation, cleaning protocols, and detox foods—is going into one book. The layman’s guide to infrared sauna, finally in one place. I cannot wait to get this into your hands.
A community space where you get direct access to me, my inner circle, and all your burning wellness questions. The waitlist is open now and I’ll be announcing the live date in the coming months.
A hands-on workshop covering everything from clearing clutter and dense energy to feng shui, wellness area design, and the tools that actually support your health—not just the flashy ones. More details coming soon, but I’m planting the seed now.
This one has been living in my soul for years. The first retreat is coming in October 2026, and it goes beyond the home. It’s an experience rooted in all the pillars of health, and Mark will be involved to offer both men and women experiences. The science behind it? Oxytocin—the love hormone, the bonding hormone, the one that’s produced when humans genuinely connect. There isn’t a more potent healer. I honestly can’t wait.
One hundred episodes in, the mission hasn’t changed. Help you create a home that heals. Share the tools, the experts, the real stories, and the wellness wisdom that actually makes a difference. Be the connector.
Your health is your wealth. And it all starts at home.
