One of the questions I get asked almost every single day isn’t about EMF levels or wood type or cabin size. It’s this: “Okay, Jen — I’m ready to buy. But how does this thing actually get to my house?”
Fair question. And honestly, it’s one I love answering — because once you understand the Clearlight sauna shipping and delivery process, a lot of the anxiety around pulling the trigger just… disappears. It’s more organized than most people expect, and way less stressful than the word “freight” tends to sound.
So let’s walk through it. Start to finish.
Once your sauna is paid for and confirmed in stock, I’ll verify with you that you’ll be home within the next two weeks to receive it. This part matters — freight delivery requires a scheduled appointment, so we need to make sure the timing works for your life before anything ships.
Once that’s confirmed, I authorize the shipment. Within two to three business days, a freight carrier picks up your sauna from Clearlight’s headquarters in Berkeley, California.
One thing worth knowing: Clearlight also has hub storage locations around the country, which means if you’re in the Midwest or on the East Coast, your sauna may not be traveling all the way from California. That often makes the overall timeline a bit shorter.
Here’s what happens once your sauna is on the move.
About three to four business days after pickup, my team will send you an email with a live tracking link. This isn’t just a confirmation number you file away and forget — it’s a real-time view of where your sauna is during its freight journey. You can actually watch it move across the country.
Once it arrives at the freight terminal closest to you, the carrier will call you directly to set up a delivery appointment. You pick the day. You pick the time. No surprise knock at the door, no missed delivery sticker, no guessing game.
The full Clearlight sauna delivery process — from the day it leaves the warehouse to the day it lands at your home — typically runs 5 to 14 days. That range depends on your location, the freight route, and whatever’s happening across the country at the time. A snowstorm hitting 20 states is going to impact freight travel. There’s no crystal ball here, and I’ll always be straight with you about that.
But the scheduled appointment piece? That’s what makes it manageable. You’ll know exactly when it’s coming.
This is the part I love explaining, because people always picture something different than what actually shows up.
Your sauna arrives in flat-pack boxes on a pallet, fully wrapped in plywood for freight protection. I call this the freight crate. The boxes are kind of like oversized industrial pizza boxes — each one flat, labeled, and containing a few panels from your sauna.
The pallet itself is typically 7–8 feet wide and about 3 feet deep, with height varying by model — generally anywhere from 5 to 8 feet tall. I always include a photo of your freight crate in your tracking email, so you’re never surprised by what rolls off that truck.

One important note for Outdoor 5 buyers: your sauna will arrive on two pallets, not one. Outdoor 5 models are larger and heavier, and two pallets are standard for those. Just something to factor in when you’re thinking about your receiving space.
Straightforward answer: no.
The free shipping included with your sauna purchase covers delivery to your property — not placement inside your home. The pallets are too large to fit through standard doorways, so that part happens after they leave.
What the freight team will do is use a lift gate system to lower the pallet off the truck, then a pallet jack to wheel it as close to your home as safely possible — your driveway, garage, carport, sidewalk. Whatever makes the most sense for your setup.

What “as close as possible” looks like is a little different for everyone. If you have a unique driveway, a tight approach, or a dead-end road situation, just let me know ahead of time. We’ll talk through it and make sure all the bases are covered before your delivery day.
My unboxing tip: Once the crate is down, lay the boxes flat on your garage floor or driveway before you start bringing anything inside. It’s so much easier to carry individual panels into your home than to wrestle the full boxes through doorways. Trust me on this one.
It does happen occasionally — that’s just the nature of freight. But I want to be honest with you: it’s genuinely rare. The plywood crating does a great job protecting your panels in transit, and because you’re there for a scheduled appointment, you can inspect everything on the spot before signing off.
I get asked about this all the time, and I’m always glad people ask.
I’ve worked with Clearlight for over 15 years — but I don’t work for them. I work with them, selling their saunas independently through my company, Jen Heller Lifestyle. When you buy through me, it’s the same sauna, shipped from the same locations, covered by the exact same lifetime warranty as if you’d called Clearlight directly.
And here’s the thing I really want you to hear: your warranty lives with Clearlight, not with me. If something ever happened to my company or me, your sauna is still fully covered. You can call Clearlight anytime — whether it’s a warranty question or a sauna question. That protection doesn’t go anywhere.
One more thing while we’re here: if you’re trying to reach me specifically, you can’t get to me through Clearlight’s main 800 number. I work independently — not inside their call center. (There’s also a Jenny on the Clearlight team who recently started going by Jen, which has caused some understandable mix-ups.) If you want to connect with me directly, come find me at [jenhellerlifestyle.com] or grab my contact info from the show notes.
If you’re still in research mode — comparing models, figuring out what fits your space, trying to sort through all the noise — my site is a good place to land. I’ve got spec sheets, sauna comparisons, Ask Jen episodes, articles, and current sale pricing all in one place.
And if you just want to talk it through? Call me or email me. That’s genuinely what I’m here for.
