Imagine walking into your home and feeling burdened by clutter. Dishes pile up, laundry overflows and every room seems to shout for attention. Your home should be a cozy escape, but instead, it feels like a battleground. An organized and clean home significantly affects mental health, productivity, and personal growth. When your home is neat and organized, you’ll find it easier to focus, get work done, and enjoy your time more.
Mine Ekenler knows this well. She made a major life shift from being a scientist to cleaning homes.
Her career switch went far beyond getting a new job. It was a journey filled with personal and financial challenges. Yet, through these obstacles, Mine found her passion in cleaning.
Working alongside her husband, she embraced the concept of enhancing their clients’ lives. They invested all their energy into launching their home cleaning business, Legacy Cleaning Services. Their primary objective was to spread joy by enabling others to experience the rejuvenating power of a clean and vibrant home.
Backed by these experiences, Mine knows that a clean and organized home promotes health and well-being.
“The best gift we can give our loved ones – and the world – is a happy, healthy version of ourselves.”

A clean home is essential for physical health. Dust, mold, and other allergens can accumulate in a cluttered and dirty environment, leading to respiratory and other health problems. Regular cleaning and decluttering can help reduce these risks and create a healthier living space.
Clutter also creates visual noise that makes it harder to focus and complete tasks. It can increase feelings of anxiety, guilt, and overwhelm.
In our home, we have a special area for our guests that’s always kept neat, clean, and free of clutter. I follow a rule to get rid of anything I haven’t used in over a year, though I admit I’m not always perfect at it. I either donate, sell, or give items away to declutter and make space for something better.
Here are some actionable strategies to control clutter:
“A tidy, organized space promotes physical health, mental clarity, and emotional peace.”

Clutter and disorganization can lead to feelings of anxiety and stress. But a clean and organized home promotes mental clarity and a sense of control over one’s life.
Mine emphasizes that our environment affects our energy and vibration. When a home is cluttered or dirty, it can lead to feelings of anxiety, guilt, and low energy which can hinder healing and overall happiness.
To clean and organize your home, sorting out tasks and seeking help can lift a huge weight off your shoulders. Asking for help with household tasks doesn’t mean you’re falling short; it means you’re prioritizing your well-being.
Cleaning services can lower your stress, free up your schedule, and improve how you feel.
Here are effective methods for managing and delegating home responsibilities:
A clean and organized home builds positivity and enhances productivity and relationships. When your space is clean, you think clearer, focus better, and feel more motivated.
I remember how the chaos of my busy life once overwhelmed me. Managing a business and a home left me feeling unfulfilled and frustrated. I was surrounded by noise and a low-vibration environment that drained my energy. It became clear that the space I was in was not supporting my well-being.
My husband and I decided to move to a peaceful country home. The clean, bright, and expansive space of our new home allowed me to restore my health. My new environment also made me feel more connected with my true self.

When asked what ‘Homes That Heals’ means to her, Mine answered:
A home is more than just a physical space—it’s your sanctuary. It’s a place that heals you mentally, emotionally, and physically. If your home is cluttered and disorganized, that clutter also exists in your mind, blocking energy flow. A healing home fosters your overall well-being in every way possible. It’s clean, organized, filled with love, and built on healthy, caring relationships with the people you live with, whether they are your partner, kids, or even roommates. Everything in your home should restore and reflect the best version of yourself. Since you spend the most time in your home, it has to be a place that truly represents who you are.
Consider hiring a cleaning service to alleviate the burden of household chores and create more time for activities that bring you joy.
