A retreat can be so much more than a getaway. It drives change, refocuses your purpose, and builds lasting connections. That’s what happened on our life-changing trip to Banff, Canada. A group of women and I came together to grow, transform, and rediscover our true selves.
This was no ordinary vacation. It was a journey of emotional breakthroughs and physical triumphs. From climbing mountains to cold plunging, every challenge brought new lessons. Vulnerability became a strength.
Many of us have faced times when we feel we’re not where we’re meant to be. It’s like something’s missing but you can’t quite put your finger on it. You might feel buried under responsibilities or carrying emotional pain. The weight of burnout, isolation, or feeling unsure of your purpose can be heavy.
Sara, the founder of Soul Adventure Collective, has been there herself. She once had a high-paying job and an outward success but craved something deeper. She walked away from it all to create meaningful travel experiences. Her retreats inspire women to rise, own their strength, and gain clarity.
Amber, one of the women who said “yes” to the experience, joined the Banff retreat to search for adventure and community. At first, she wasn’t sure what to expect. She only knew she needed something different. However, the retreat’s group activities helped her heal and reconnect with her sense of self.
“From the very first group trip, I realized that what I was being called towards was not the travel; it was getting a group of women together to be there for one another, connect on a deeper level, and really just grow.”

The retreat was set against the beautiful backdrop of Banff. The nature became a powerful tool for reconnecting and recharging. The stillness of nature and breathtaking views invited deep reflection and inner peace.
Here’s how to add nature into your wellness routine:
I believe the answers we seek come in the stillness. It’s one thing to ask God or the divine for guidance, but it’s another to listen and have the courage to act.
This trip was about finding that peace, stepping away from the noise of daily life, and getting quiet with myself. I needed to ask, Where do I go next? What’s my next move? Standing by those silent lakes gave me the clarity and strength I was looking for.
Shared experiences are transformative. They create ties that run deeper than everyday friendships. For Amber, every moment of the retreat brought the group closer together. The laughs, the tears, the support, and the shared challenges brought bonds no one expected.
Here’s how you can build sisterhood and connection:
For me, the retreat was a reset. It helped me step back, let go of what no longer served me, and realign with my true purpose.
Sara emphasized how the group’s collective energy built a space for open sharing, deep healing, and mutual growth. After years of travel, she realized that the best connections happen when values align with who you’ve become.
Here’s how to rediscover your purpose and alignment:
This retreat in Banff was about real change. It was a journey to rediscover who we are, reconnect with our purpose, and heal on a deeper level.
Growth is possible when we step outside our comfort zones and accept the beauty of vulnerability.
